best-selling book: ROCKET MOM! 7 Strategies To Blast You Into Brilliance and the newly-formed ROCKET
MOM SOCIETY.
Short Bio
Carolina Fernandezearned an M.B.A.
before working as a marketing rep at IBM and as a stockbroker at Merrill Lynch. She
left the corporate world to work as a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker.
Coming home to longer hours, harder work, and more demanding relationships
left her feeling completely overwhelmed.Granted, she traded one investment field
for another which has yielded immeasurable returns heretofore unimagined.Nonetheless,
her frustration ather lack of ability in tackling all of motherhood’s
inherently difficult challenges pushed her into a nearly twenty year labor of love. Her research in child development, child psychology, social psychology, nutrition, and exercise physiology—along
withindispensable insights and experiences gained along the way through a decade
of homeschooling—finally evolved into ROCKET
MOM! A variety ofother writing venues and a seminar business followed.
She totally re-invented herself in the process. She has dabbled
in the domestic, visual, and performing arts, undertaking projects ranging from hooking rugs to painting in oils to singing
onstage in Carnegie Hall. She has developed strong convictions about the role of the arts in child development.
These convictions have shaped the specific strategies played out in the book and in her seminars, and are deemed essential
for all moms interested in raising brilliant kids.
She has wholeheartedly embraced the twin concepts of creativityand generativity. Her life mission is:“raising the next generation to greatness
by investing resources of time and talent, and challenging others to develop their unique gifts for the benefit of others.”The necessity of instilling moral excellence and integrity cannot be denied in this process; to this end, Carolina
inspires and encourages mothers to shape families which will leave far-reaching legacies for the world at large.
She shares this unapologetically optimistic view of parenting
on a national platform through a weekly ezine (www.rocketmom.com), which is now read by
thousands of moms in all 50 states in the US as well as in five continents across the globe; a monthly “spiritual parenting”
column (www.leonieslight.org); a monthly “creative
parenting” column (www.selfhelpcenters.com); and at www.babyzone.com. She has been quoted in dozens of internet
parenting sites, newspapers, and in publications such as Parenting Magazine. She has appeared as a guest on the FOX News program “Your World with Neil Cavuto” and in radio programs
spanning markets from Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Hartford, Chicago and the metro New York
City area to smaller NPR affiliates. Her book, ROCKET MOM! 7 Strategies
To Blast You Into Brilliance, has achieved parenting bestseller status on Amazon.com. It's widely available

She lives with her husband and four children inRidgefield, Connecticut.
She is a board member of the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra, chair of the annual Family Concert, and a sustaining member of
the Greenwich Junior League. She is also a Commissioned Lay Speaker of the UnitedMethodistChurch.
Her writing and speaking engagements have been enriched by life
lessons learned since her oldest son was diagnosed with leukemia in October 2004.
